More stuff from you
Mut Mut Mut.
I need:
- Door to John's apartment. The act of it opening as well.
- Shots of John's room eg. dew dripping from plant's leaves, close-up of flower, fountain
- Bed, from the foot, so I can draw John flopping down
- Pillow from bird's-eye-view
- Stone steps leading to his door
- Somewhat wide-angle shot of his door opened, leading to the corridor (where he's going to notice the neighbour)
- Cyclone-ish thing, if you can manage
- Moon-like environment, after he stopped spinning
- The skkkkyyyy, for the ending
Phew.
That's it.
Hopefully.
Everything can be referred to the storyboard, since I'm using that as reference extensively, and they are in order.
You can Gmail everything or just post here. Doesn't matter.
Thanks. 8D

Web looks perfect on Firefox now
Issues fixed:
1) z-index issue fixed, looks really nice now (silly me, all I had to do was make that little tip a separate png)
2) Made this blog the homepage of the site :)
3) Re-designed the blog - Imported CSS/created table for this blog page.
Still looks terrible on IE though. Ack.
One more thing, Kash, Faby and I are trying to push for a FYP deadline extension, hope it gets through :D

Some scenes

Here's a couple of scenes.. The rest are already in your gmail. Most are png images so don't need to worry about transparency issues. I'm not sure how you're going to do it, so I separated the chair as an individual prop and the cubicle scene without the chair... because if John where to be there and I send you the jpeg without layers, he's going to be a pain to put in.
Oh another suggestion, i think due to time constraints, i think it's not quite necessary to colour John? After all, he IS without colour in his life, empty. In the first place we intended him to be black and white, think we can leave him out of shading - what do you think?

I neeeeed...
Hihi Mut!
Need stuff from youuz.

Need a background of his desk for this.
You can save it in JPEG with John in it.
Same goes for the close-up below.

--

For this, can you make it 3 frames of the door closing on him?
Like in the storyboard.
--

And this involves 2 scenes.
When he goes out of UNO, so I need sliding doors opening for him.
And when he exits the elevator in his apartment, so elevator doors opening.
You can do as many frames as you want, as long as it looks like they're in motion.
--
And lastly, in his cubicle there's his chair right?
Can you make his chair swivel to the left frame by frame, when he leaves to go home?
--
Nice website, although all the talk on codes made me feel less intelligent.
I see the differences between IE and Firefox, but I can't do anything about it.
--
I'll scan in more once the scanner stops being bitchy.
9 more days till submission time!
Got to do final report as well, although I'll worry about that later.
Oh and when you email me, don't use the Hotmail account because I have junk filter on.
I've got 2 alternatives:
lipsynch@graffiti.net
mufujifi@gmail.com
Certain web problems.
In the midst of website completion, might need input for content later. For now, I've the template.
http://web.rp.sg/51041/FYP%20WEB/index.htm
Main issues:
1) Getting Flash buttons to work in iFrames (solved)on (release); { getURL ("home.htm", _target="frame1") }2) z-index working on IE7, but not Firefox. Notice that most objects are relative position to the main picture - position: relative. z-index usually works best with position: absolute, but if I want everything to be aligned perfectly so that the main picture will always be in the center regardless of monitor resolution, the position has to be relative to the main picture.Trying to find a way for z-index to work with position: relative.3) Alignment issues with IE vs Firefox.Try viewing the index page in both IE and Firefox, and then spot the differences. Feel free to tear the code apart :)
(PS don't ask why didn't I code the entire script in Actionscript)

Website in progress
Currently working on the website using CSS/HTML on Dreamweaver... should be able to complete the website by this weekend :)
Will come up with a 2 min piece of music this mid week.
In the meantime, I'm still working on more backgrounds and refining. The ones uploaded (especially the room scenes are not mouldy enough)
Hope you got the scanner up :)
Let me know if you need help with props. Thinking of presentation techniques for the upcoming presentation in August. Just had CME P12, pitching, so got a couple of ideas.

Scenes for you

Architecture from around

(WIP)

Inspired by the urban streets of New York, the Uno Administration Building is not oily in any way, but "clean" and "pristine" on the outside. Or is it? What's on the outside does not say anything about what terrible things that happen inside.

Inspired by the urban but unlivable Beijing and its air, nothing could be seen beyond 100m of vision - there was too much smoke. (building from NY does not conflict with Beijing architecture, made sure it didn't)

Lift scene to transition nicely with corridor scene and vice versa - similar perspective.

Office cubicle, confined, minimal, in a bad way.

(WIP)

Streets with high perspective - city's too big for a single tiny man wondering about the future.
NOTE TO NORA: Don't use until I've separated the layers for you and better quality images.
